Earlier this month I had a great conversation on the eCommerce Lab Podcast, and I had to share it. Too many Amazon sellers are obsessed with revenue numbers while their actual profit margins are razor thin — or negative.
The conversation covered three things every Amazon seller needs to stop bleeding profits: know your true unit economics, manage cash flow proactively instead of reactively, and stop letting platform fees erode margins silently. Revenue is a vanity metric if the cash isn’t there. Profit is what keeps the business alive. Focus there first.
