Today I am looking forward to a call with a client to start preparing for goal setting in their business. They had some homework to do and I was to receive it two days ago. It hasn’t arrived yet.
Resistance is real. When we’re about to do something that requires honest self-assessment — looking at our numbers, setting goals we might not hit, acknowledging where we’ve been avoiding things — the brain finds ways to delay. If you’re feeling resistance around your finances, that’s normal. It’s also a signal. The things we most resist are usually the things we most need to do. Take the small step. Make the call. Open the spreadsheet. Resistance fades once you start.
