Last Saturday I spent the weekend in Salisbury, NC, where I grew up. I attended an exhibition at Waterworks Visual Arts Center — Modern Masterpieces, a collection of works inspired by the great masters.

Picasso said “I don’t seek, I find.” That idea has stayed with me. So much of what we call strategy in business is really just structured seeking. But the breakthroughs — the real ones — happen when you’re open enough to notice what’s already there, hiding in plain sight, waiting to be found. Stay curious. Stay open. The best ideas often arrive when you stop forcing them.
