It made me think about our business. If I were suddenly out of commission, what would happen? Who knows where things are? Who can make decisions? Who knows the passwords, the processes, the client relationships? If you’re the linchpin — the one person holding everything together — that’s a business risk. Build redundancy. Document everything. Your business should be able to survive without you for at least a few weeks. Start building that capacity now.
