Last week I met with a client who shared that her dream is to have a family, but her business is struggling and she’s not sure the time is right. Her partner’s work is super demanding. She’s carrying a lot.

What I told her: your business doesn’t have to be perfect before you pursue what matters most. But it does need to be stable enough not to require your constant attention. That’s the real goal of good financial systems — not just profit, but freedom. Freedom to take a vacation. Freedom to be present with family. Freedom to make choices that aren’t driven by cash anxiety. That’s what we’re really building toward.
