This past two weeks I have been interviewing my team. I love having one-on-ones with everyone to learn what they’re trying to achieve in their personal lives and what areas they’d like to grow professionally.
What I consistently find: when people feel heard and invested in, they show up differently. They bring ideas instead of just completing tasks. They flag problems early instead of hoping they’ll resolve themselves. Your team is one of the most powerful growth levers you have — but only if you take the time to understand what they need and what they’re capable of. Ask them. Listen. Then help them grow.
