My brother passed in June of last year after a two-month battle with pancreatic cancer. If you’ve been here for a while, you’ve probably read some of what I’ve written about it.

Last weekend, his community gathered to honor him. The centerpiece of the tribute was his beloved orange truck — the one he’d driven for decades, the one everyone recognized. It became a symbol of how a person’s passion and presence can outlast them. The beauty of that orange truck wasn’t the truck itself. It was everything it represented — a life well-lived, a community built, a legacy that endures. Build something worth remembering.
