What's Your Most Profitable Product

August 22, 20251 min read

Have you looked at your products and determined their profitability?

I'm not asking what you expect it to be.

Have you determined what it actually is today?

How much is each product’s gross margin is contributing to the ad spend for that product?

How much is profit is actually flowing into your pocket?

I know - it's a lot of questions.

But this level of detail is where the cash flows, or drips, or worst case leaks, from your business forever.

This happens because:

  • You calculate it once and forget it.

  • You are busy and fighting other fires.

  • Or because it's too hard to get the data - the real accounting data.

Marketing dashboards are great and can give you clues, but accounting data is what ties back to cash in the bank.

Cash that gets reconciled so you can validate it.

Real data so you can tackle the real issues.

I'm testing a few new software solutions for our clients now, but I'm curious about what you may be using in your business today.

How do you determine SKU profitability for your business?

Please reply and let me know where you get your data, and how confident you are in using it to make decisions.

Or if you've been looking around too, let me know what's catching your eye or what you've heard about.

I'm looking at all the options to find the best of the best.

I look forward to hearing from you.
