I have to admit I love using AI, especially Claude to help me analyze and organize data and organize.

It/He has helped me look at time logs of activities from my team and create job description.

He's helped me plan our trip to Northumberland area of England.

He looks at my recipes from the week and compiles my grocery list.

He even combines the quantities needed for each ingredient in every recipe to give me a total quantity to buy and he organizes the items by departments in the store.

Back in June I was so excited about the new AI Native accounting systems featured at Scaling New Heights, the largest technology accounting conference in the world.

Unfortunately, each one that I have tested has been a disappointment so far.

The promise of doing our accounting work 30% faster just hasn't proven out.

I'm sure it will, but it's still very early and not yet ready for prime time.

Right now, general ledger accounting is still a human function.

We continue to test and evaluate AI technology, and we'll be excited when it can do the job accurately and quickly, as promised.

As a business owner, I'm sure you're seeing all the buzz too.

And if you're like me, finding great benefit with Claude or ChatGPT, or your favorite tool, you're likely thinking my books can be done quicker because of AI.

I wish that were true. It will be one day, but it's not now.

We are waiting for AI to deliver on the promise.

Technology is changing quickly.
