Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving holiday I'm thankful for our team, clients, and colleagues that are valued communities for Dave and me as a family business.

With a remote team and clientele, we appreciate the connection.

We enjoy working together to achieve your dreams through business ownership.

This week it was made obvious to me how important that tie of trust must be in all our relationships.

One of our core values is integrity, and it is fundamental to our operations.

It is a consideration in hiring, and each applicant is given the chance to force rank it in order of importance with other business values such as customer service, quality, etc.

For us, Integrity must be number one or two in their ranking.

We interviewed a delightful candidate yesterday and she is also a business school student.

She ranked profitability as number one and then sales as number two.

It was clear she was putting her schooling to work and she expressed how hard it was to do the exercise.

We asked her to put what she was learning at school aside and answer from her personal point of view.

She said she believed integrity was the foundation to all relationships.

I truly wish business schools would reinforce this lesson.

As we pause this week in the U.S. to celebrate gratitude, please know I am grateful for the connection I have with you through these emails.

And for those in the ecommerce space, I wish you much success on Black Friday and cyber Monday, and the days leading up to the Christmas holidays.
